Our hair is part of our identity, and I understand how important it is to feel confident in the way we look. That's why I prioritize open communication, realistic expectations, and a personalized approach to achieving your hair goals.

My goal is to build long-lasting relationships with each of my clients. Sometimes adjustments are needed along the way, and I would much rather work together to find a solution through patience, communication, and reasonable expectations.

If you are unhappy with your results, I am happy to discuss adjustments through a corrective service, provided the request falls within the guidelines below.

All services are non-refundable, subject to applicable law.

Corrective Service Policy

7-Day Guarantee: Color services are eligible for corrective adjustments for up to seven (7) days following the original appointment. Concerns must be communicated within this timeframe.

Scheduling: Corrective services must be arranged directly through me. They cannot be booked through the online booking system.

Professional Aftercare: To qualify for a corrective service, clients must purchase and use the recommended professional haircare products. Products may be purchased directly at Mindful Beauty Rochester, through approved affiliate links, or from a reputable professional beauty supplier. Proof of purchase is required.

Previous Color History: Clients receiving color correction services must disclose all previous color history, including box dyes, at-home color, and non-professional color applications. Hair containing box dye or other non-professional color is not eligible for complimentary corrective adjustments.

Realistic Expectations: Some hair goals require multiple appointments to achieve safely. If your desired result cannot reasonably be achieved in one session, this will be discussed during your consultation to establish clear expectations and avoid surprises.

Alterations by Others: Eligibility for corrective services is void if you or another stylist makes any chemical or color alterations to your hair following your appointment.

Corrective Service Fees: A fee of $15 per bowl of color or lightener will apply to corrective adjustments. Additional toners, treatments, or color services may incur additional charges, determined fairly on a case-by-case basis.

Corrective services are intended to address reasonable concerns related to the original agreed-upon service, not to accommodate a change in desired style, color, or overall hair goals.

Appointment Preparation

Please arrive at all appointments with clean, completely dry hair, unless instructed otherwise.

Service pricing is subject to change depending on your hair's length, density, condition, and the amount of product or time required to achieve your desired results.

Appointment Requests

All appointments are requested through Vagaro, my online booking platform.

Availability is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. An appointment is not confirmed until your booking request has been reviewed and approved and the applicable forms have been filled out.

Please allow up to 24 hours for appointment requests to be reviewed and approved.

Appointment Changes & Cancellations

A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours notice will incur  100% of the scheduled service.

In the event of repeated last-minute cancellations or rescheduling, a non-refundable deposit may be required to secure future appointments.

If you are experiencing an illness or an emergency, please contact me directly to discuss your circumstances. Illness-related exceptions may be accommodated when the appointment is rescheduled within the same week, subject to availability.

Late Arrivals

I understand that unexpected circumstances happen!

If you are running late, please contact me as soon as possible with your estimated arrival time.

I will do my best to accommodate your scheduled services; however, depending on your arrival time, services may need to be adjusted or your appointment rescheduled.

Please understand that arriving late may affect the time available for your service and other scheduled appointments.

No-Shows

In the event of a no-show, 100% of the scheduled service total will be charged to the card on file.

Clients who fail to attend their appointment without notice will no longer be eligible to book future services.

Exceptions may be considered for genuine emergency situations. Please communicate with me as soon as reasonably possible.

Payment Options

A valid credit or debit card is required on file when booking an appointment.

This card may be charged in accordance with the cancellation and no-show policies.

Payment for completed services will not be processed until the end of your appointment.

Card payments are preferred, although cash is accepted.

For your convenience, an ATM is available at the bodega located above the salon.
